POSITION OVERVIEW
Our client, a well-established and growing boutique law firm in Orlando, is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support its attorneys and civil litigation practice.
This role is ideal for a legal professional with 5+ years of experience who understands the civil litigation process and can confidently manage a high volume of cases, court filings, calendars, and deadlines.
The firm focuses on condominium and homeowners' association law, real estate, commercial litigation, and business law .
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Provide legal and administrative support throughout the civil litigation process .
• Manage electronic and physical case files.
• Prepare, file, and maintain court documents, including electronic court filings .
• Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and other litigation-related events.
• Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, appointments, and notifications.
• Maintain accurate case information within legal case management software.
• Help manage a significant caseload while keeping deadlines and priorities organized.
• Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Provide additional legal and administrative support as needed.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
• 5+ years of Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or similar legal support experience.
• Strong understanding of the civil litigation process .
• Experience with electronic court filing systems.
• Experience scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
• Strong calendar, deadline, and case-management skills.
• Experience using legal case management software.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and a high-volume caseload .
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced law firm environment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Spanish language skills.
• Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
• Experience supporting attorneys within litigation, real estate, HOA/condominium, or business law.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
